~11 plain-English drivers
You type the causes — price, growth, churn, headcount, funding. The engine derives revenue and every statement. There is no "enter your revenue" field.
Everything an endorser asks for.
One deterministic engine, every statement and benchmark a caseworker or investor expects to see.
Profit & loss
36-month P&L: revenue, COGS, payroll, opex, EBITDA.
Cash flow
Month-by-month runway — where startups actually die.
Balance sheet
Cash position and the visa runway, statement-ready.
Unit economics
LTV : CAC, CAC payback, gross margin, contribution.
9 sector benchmarks
SaaS, fintech, marketplace, hardware and more — scored vs the norm.
ILR Settlement scorecard
All 7 settlement criteria, scored from your own projection.
The only model that scores your 7 ILR settlement criteria — so you build for the endorsement and the settlement at once.
Most plans get endorsed, then fall apart at settlement because the numbers were never built to clear the Indefinite Leave to Remain bar. This model works backwards from both finish lines — investment, revenue, UK jobs, R&D and exports — and tells you, today, how many of the seven criteria your trajectory clears.
The ILR Settlement Readiness score is a self-assessment aid, not a Home Office decision. Endorsement and settlement are at the Home Office's discretion.
Revenue is calculated, never typed.
Six principles run underneath every number the engine produces — the same modelling discipline whether you use the free teaser above, the full cockpit, or the open-source prompt below.
Revenue is an output
You supply causes — price, customers, growth, churn — and the engine derives revenue. If a number looks wrong, challenge the driver, not the total.
Drivers you can defend
Endorsing bodies probe assumptions, not totals. Every driver starts from a sector norm you can cite — and replace with your own evidence.
Cash is the truth-teller
The model tracks when money actually lands and leaves — working capital, prepayments — so the lowest-cash month and runway are visible before they happen.
People are the real cost
Payroll, with employer NI, usually decides profitability — not software costs. The team plan and the P&L are one model, not two spreadsheets.
Scenarios stress the plan
Base, best and worst recompute everything from the same drivers. A plan that only works in "best" is not a plan.
The balance sheet ties out
Assets equal liabilities plus equity, every month. It does not prove your assumptions — it proves the arithmetic is honest.
This is the modelling discipline the 7-criteria ILR settlement scorecard above is built on — every score traces back to one of these six rules.
Learn the numbers, then run them.
The tool builds the model. The Financial Fluency track makes sure you can defend every line of it in an endorsement interview.

The same modelling philosophy above, released as an MIT-licensed prompt. Paste it into Claude, Claude Code or Codex, answer a short interview, and get a live financial model with editable assumptions — plus an analysis flip-side that reads it back to you in plain English.

Paste it into an AI
Drop PROMPT.md into Claude, Claude Code or Codex and say "build my financial model." It runs the interview and builds the sheets.
Install as a Claude Code skill
cp -r skills/financial-model ~/.claude/skills/ — then just run /financial-model from any project.
